Crosshill Street Bridge Replacement

Case Study

Banagher Precast Concrete were awarded the contract to supply all the precast concrete products for the Crosshill Street Bridge Replacement by Morgan Sindall. The project involved the replacement of the old steel deck with a new Prestressed Concrete Bridge Beam deck. The deck consisted of 12No. M2 Prestressed Concrete Bridge Beams, each approximately 18m long. As well as the Bridge Beams, we also manufactured and supplied Precast Concrete Cill Beams for the abutments and Precast Concrete Parapet Panels for both sides of the bridge deck.

We worked closely with Morgan Sindall on the detailing of the precast concrete elements to improve the buildability of the bridge. This was an important aspect of the contract as the bridge was erected during a weekend rail track possession. Close coordination between all the parties involved was essential to the success of the project.

……….. Network Rail and North Lanarkshire Council are very happy.
Thank you and your team for your contribution to this success.”…………….
